The first question everybody asked was, "Are you going to move closer?" Stupid question. I told them, "No, I'll always have my house, I won't always have this job." Which, sad to say, turned out to be too true, too soon. In the Houston area you go...Only 33 miles to work? In the Houston area you go that far for lunch. Most people have a 60 or more mile commute one way. I am glad I only worked for a Houston company for two years. After that, my commute was from the bedroom, with a stops at the bathroom and kitchen, and then a left turn into my office with my coffee.
