I got to go to California the state of my birth and a wonderful world it was, women could actually go to college, work and not mind about never marrying, I moved a lot, learned a lot, but one thing I remembered was high school was a big bunch of you know what, I went to 3 and I went to about 4 grade schools, I could not wait to go to California to go to college and live with my grandmother who wanted me all along, lost my Mom young, live by myself and with others at one time and just live, women were centainly pidgeon holed about what they wanted to do, I never paid them any mind whatsoever, plenty of women told me that a woman could do and be anything and yes without a MAN, I loved it! I love your blog, it tickles me daily to read it, I get a big kick out of your blog, it is really interesting..have a great rest of the week and month of JUNE too! However, when visiting my grandparents in WV, they had an outhouse which was better than the chamber pot that you had to dump in the morning.

Stephen, Eww, yuk!!! I'd never hurt my black snakes. When I started school, the first three grades were in an old wooden one room school house and you had to use outhouses no matter what the weather. Now, the 4th grade and older had a nice brick school with a gym and indoor plumbing. They must have figured that the youngest ones would complain the least, since they didn't know any better. That school was 30 miles north of Pittsburgh.Dizzy-Dickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14150939928800538404noreply@blogger.com
