WELL, IT'S DONE.

It was tougher that I thought it would be 'cause this is the first time I had to put a pet down and not bring it home to bury. I am having her cremated and will bury her with her brother. After the vet put Cleo down, she looked in at the roof of her mouth and saw a big swelling and told me there was the tumor. So, I felt a little more relieved that it was done before things got much worse.

I'm very sorry for your loss....I know how hard it is.

Thank-you, it NEVER gets any easier. I DO believe that animals have souls and DO go to heaven. If I didn't have that belief, I would be devestated.

That is the hardest thing a person has to do. Tried everyting to save a pet in the past. Spent thousands of dollars on her, but in the end, had to put her down. Last December I lost my Buttons, who was always with me. See my old blog:

The other dogs will likely be sad for a while too, knowing someone is missing and sensing that you are sad. But you did your best for her, all through her life and now at the end. If she could, she would tell you that herself.

Thanks everybody. It hurts but this too shall pass. She is running with Teddy now. They've been apart 5 years and I know that was hard on her.
