Wow, maga rain north of me. Closing businesses and schools. The scanner has nothing on it but water and residental rescues, plus a few accidents. My creek was up, over it's banks but not into the yard. The meadow, north of me was flooded during the night but has receded quickly. But, in the northern part of the county, they are closing major highways and they don't expect the river to crest until sometime tomorrow. My friend Sue works with a lady who lives along the river in a small town known for flooding. Yesterday, her husband called her and said the house had water coming in the windows. These two are just barely making it as he has major health problems. When they bought this house, the people told them, it was never flooded during Hurricane Agnes. If I remember right, the entire town was flooded during that storm. So much for honesty.
Calling for more rain into tomorrow, then again on Sunday. Sorry Texas.
I woke up during the night with a little furry body next to me. Little Miss Mary Fiona was in bed with me!! The two big dogs sleep on the floor while the two smaller dogs sleep in bed with me. Sometimes Lily joins us. I should have gotten a king size!!
I got a king size and it still gets crowded. They all have to be right up next to you. Ok in the cold of winter.
Stay safe! We almost bought a cabin on a "creek" years ago until we found out how bad it flooded when the creek rises. No thanks. I hope things turn out ok for those folks.
